Veronica Aston Obituary, Death – It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to a cherished member of our golfing community, Veronica Aston, who passed away earlier this week. Veronica’s presence at our golf club brought joy, camaraderie, and a passion for the game that enriched the lives of all who knew her.
Veronica, along with a few friends, joined our golf club many years ago, leaving an indelible mark on our community. Serving as the Secretary of the club, Veronica’s commitment and dedication were evident in her tireless efforts to contribute to the club’s success.
A dynamic duo on the golf course, Veronica and Anne Cooper formed a formidable partnership in doubles knockouts for several years. Veronica’s prowess extended beyond the fairways, as she was renowned for her delectable sponges that added sweetness to our gatherings. Her generosity and willingness to whip up a sponge for any occasion showcased her warm and caring nature.
Veronica’s love for golf was evident in her skill on the course; she played a mean game, rarely straying from the fairway. Her genuine kindness and gentle spirit endeared her to all who had the privilege of calling her a friend.
In honor of Veronica’s life, a funeral service will be held at St Ambrose Catholic Church on Friday, 24th November, at 11:30. As we gather to bid farewell to this remarkable woman, let us remember the joy she brought to our golfing community and the lasting impact of her friendship. May she rest in peace.
