Susan Young Obituary, Death- Susan Young, a cherished senior in Corinth High School’s 1972 graduating class, has died away. Susan left this world on Friday, November 10, 2023, at the North Mississippi Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. On July 5, 1954, Susan Crow was born to James “Buddy” and Sue Crow, and she forever changed the lives of everyone who met her. After finishing high school at Corinth, she went on to Northeast Community College, laying the groundwork for a career of hard work and success.

Susan worked for the First Circuit Court District District Attorney’s Office for nearly 30 years, mostly as an office manager and executive secretary. Her legacy was a testament to her commitment to her work and her community. Susan’s faith and strength were bolstered by her attendance at First Methodist Church. She shone like a beacon and brought goodwill wherever she went. Her genuine smile and kind nature touched the hearts of everyone she met. Susan’s fervor for love surpassed even her dedication to her work.

She was John R. Young’s loyal wife for almost 40 years. The fact that they’ve made it this far together is a testament to how much they care about one another. They started a family with a strong foundation of love, shared values, and common experiences. Susan’s husband, John R. Young, her daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Jason Perry, and their granddaughter, Alli Grace Perry, her brother and his wife, Jim and Julie Crow, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, her sister, Sharon Mainers, of Jackson, Tennessee, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends survive her.

Her enthusiasm for travel, especially to the beach, was contagious, and so was her positive outlook. Susan’s life was filled with meaningful connections, joyful memories, and heartfelt adoration. On Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 2:00 PM, the Reverends Kim Ratliff and Elizabeth West will preside over a memorial service at the Filmore St. Chapel in Susan’s honor. Arch Bullard will deliver a eulogy in honor of a remarkable lady.

After the funeral, Susan’s body will be laid to rest in Henry Cemetery. There will be a visitation for friends and family to pay their respects and be with those who are grieving her passing from 12 pm until the funeral begins. As we say our final goodbyes to Susan, may we find solace in the steadfast love of God. Susan has brought so much good to the world; may her loved ones find comfort in the knowledge that nothing can take it away from them.
