Robert Dixon Obituary, In Loving Memory Of Beloved Dixon Resident

Robert Dixon Obituary, Death –  At home, Robert A. Dixon, 69, of Dixon died Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
Bob Dixon was born in Freeport on September 4, 1954, to Robert and Anne (Deipenbrock) Dixon. He married his life partner, Renae (Harker) Charleston, on May 5, 2015. They ran the Bob Dixon Service Centre, which he founded approximately 40 years ago. 2000 saw him become a Napa Auto Care Centre. On April 19, 2019, they became U-Haul dealers.

Over the years, Bob had several interests and goals. He loved and supported his family, friends, and acquaintances unconditionally. He always helped people and made sure their needs were met using his knowledge. Bob was a Ford man, but he could diagnose problems with diesel, petrol, or alcohol-fueled vehicles. It felt second nature to him. Built many engines over time.

Tractor Pulling Days and his 1970 Mustang Drag Car (Horse Cents II) were his passions. He loved the adrenaline feeling of Cordova and Byron Race Track passes. Bob was an outstanding man with many talents. Many will always call him “Bob Dixon The Legend”. A legend in his own right.

His loving wife, Renae, and his children, Mandy (Chris) Erickson of Ottawa, Jake Charleston of Polo, Jenna Charleston of Sterling, and Jodie (Justin Marshall) Charleston of Rock Falls, live with him. His sisters, Bonnie (Leonard Ruthe) Saxby of Rockford and Barb Nesemeyer of Overland Park, KS, live with him.
