Paul Cervenak Obituary, St. Luke’s Lutheran Church Beloved Member Has Died

Paul Cervenak Obituary, Death- After a brief illness, Paul D. Cervenak, 73, passed away on October 18, 2023. He was born to Anna and Michael J. Cervenak on August 5, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan. Martha (Mason) Taylor, M.D., and Paul Jonathan (Katie) Cervenak, J.D., were two of Paul and Gayle’s three children. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, including Olivia, Easton, and Gia Cervenak, and Colton and Wyatt Taylor. Paul Cervenak was the cherished older sibling of Michael and John.

The pursuit of knowledge and the will to establish his own business were constants in Paul’s life. He attended Oakland University and graduated from the University of Michigan, establishing the basis for a prosperous career. His career path from teaching in various districts to founding, owning, and managing a broker at Rock Real Estate Group is quite exceptional. Paul excelled not only in his career but in every aspect of his life. He was also a gifted musician who learned to play the piano at a young age.

Through his participation in bands like Bob Seger & The Last Heard, The Generation Gap, and the Seger tribute band Lookin’ Back, he was able to share his love of music with the world. Many people were profoundly moved by his songs. Paul was a musical genius and an avid fan of sports. His favorite teams were the Michigan Wolverines, Detroit Lions, and Detroit Tigers. As an adult, he continued to pursue his passion for sports by playing slow-pitch softball.

A private memorial service will be arranged to celebrate Paul’s life and honor the lasting impression he made on those who knew and loved him. This is a time to remember the good times he had with loved ones and toast his life. To celebrate Paul’s life and legacy, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 5589 Van Atta Road, Haslett, MI 48840.

This generous act will help perpetuate his memory while benefiting a cause near and dear to his heart. Paul D. Cervenak’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the opportunity of knowing him. His legacy of love, music, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of future generations. His passing will leave an indelible mark on the minds of those who knew and loved him.
