Pamela McLean Obituary, Death- Pamela McLean, a 54-year-old inhabitant of Thurston County, unfortunately lost her life on October 30, 2023. Pamela, cherished by her friends and family, was found dead in her own house as the result of a horrific murder. Pamela, who entered this world, left an indelible mark on the lives of many people. She was well-liked by everyone around her because of her generosity of spirit and caring nature. The loss of her life was tragic and unexpected, and her passing has left a vacuum that will never be replaced.
Coroner Gary Warnock ruled Pamela’s death a homicide after discovering that she died from blunt-force trauma to the head. The news reverberated throughout Thurston County as loved ones tried to come to terms with the tragic loss of a woman who meant so much to so many people. On the evening of November 1st, deputies making a welfare check in the area of 44th Avenue Northwest and Cooper Point Road made the tragic find. Taylor Ryan Perkins, her 31-year-old roommate, was arrested the same day as the murder after a fast investigation led to his being charged with second-degree murder and domestic violence.
During a disagreement over money, Perkins allegedly assaulted Pamela in the kitchen, as stated in court filings. It’s terrifying to think that while she lay unconscious on the ground, Perkins stepped on her skull. Surprisingly, he stayed in the house where Pamela’s body was found for another two days. Judge John Skinder of the Thurston County Superior Court found probable cause and ordered Perkins to be held without bail due to the seriousness of the alleged crime. Two counts of second-degree murder were filed against him on November 3.
Both counts say that Pamela’s killing was premeditated on his part and that it occurred while he was committing first- or second-degree assault. Justice for Pamela’s tragic death is now a gloomy reality for the community. On November 14, Taylor Ryan Perkins will have his arraignment hearing. As we try to make sense of this tragedy, let’s go back on all the good times we shared thanks to Pamela McLean. In the wake of this tragic death, may her memory serve as a guiding light.
