New Orleans Shooting,- We mourn the deaths of three people who were shot in separate incidents this week, all of which occurred within a few hours of one another. We want you to know how deeply saddened and saddened our hearts are by their demise. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office has identified the following victims; each of them met a horrific end as a result of events that have left our community in shock and sadness.
One of the casualties, a guy named Jason Matthews, forty years old, met an untimely death near the intersection of Michoud Boulevard and Adventure Avenue in the area of Village De Lest on Tuesday evening. Jason’s reputation for generosity and good cheer earned him a lot of fans in his community. His lifeless body was found at the location shortly after 8 o’clock that evening; this time will remain indelible in the minds of everybody who knew and loved him. The New Orleans Police Department is currently conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances behind this terrible incident.
We remember Jason not just for the tragic circumstances that took place in his life and cut him short, but also for the profound impact he made on the people who knew and loved him.
