Neil Lescault Obituary, Death- Neil Joseph Lescault, 49, of Stillwater died on Thursday, October 26, 2023, surrounded by his family and cared for by Saratoga Hospital’s devoted ICU staff. All who knew Neil mourn his death. Neil, a beloved Lescault family member, was born in Saratoga Hospital on September 7, 1974. Jean-Guy Lescault and Phyllis Ann (Frasier) Lescault were his parents. Neil’s life was full of energy and hard effort. He graduated from Stillwater High School in 1993 and worked physically difficult jobs like lifting pianos, carrying furniture, driving a delivery truck, and logging with his father.
Despite the physical demands of these tasks, Neil’s irrepressible humor and penchant for recreating movie sequences and comedian punchlines lightened others’ lives. Neil treated his cousins like siblings and treasured their time together. He regularly remembered his high school days, especially playing football with buddies. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tool fiddling, and giving unsolicited repair advice. Neil was talented, including cooking without a recipe, which he learned from his mother.
He loved seeing his nephews and nieces play as kids and had a love-hate connection with Emmitt, his bulldog, whom he cared for alongside his mother. Neil was happiest outside, living life on his own terms, demonstrating his independence and free spirit. Neil’s mother, Phyllis Ann (Frasier) Lescault, grandparents, Omer and Rita Lescault, Carl and Josephine Frasier, and Godmother/Aunt Bernadette Lescault died before him.
His family, especially his older siblings Scott Lescault (Tami) and Laurie Gazzelli (Stefano), his Godfather/Uncle Yvon Lescault, and his adored nephews and nieces Nicolas, Dean, Brahe, Paige, Gianna, Luc, and Leah, will miss him. Neil was Dean’s godfather and shared his birthday with Dean, Amber, and Brock.
No formal ceremonies are planned, but a Celebration of Neil’s life will allow family and friends to celebrate this wonderful guy. Neil’s warmth and generosity will be missed, thus the family asks donations to local food banks, pet shelters, and the needy in place of flowers. The Densmore Funeral Home, Inc. at 7 Sherman Avenue in Corinth is compassionately handling Neil’s funeral. Neil’s loved ones will always be inspired and warm by his memories.
