Jason Smith Obituary, A Teen Found Mortally Wounded On West-central Shreveport Street Identified By Caddo Parish Coroner

Jason Smith Obituary, Death – The name of a teenage boy who was found with fatal injuries on a highway in west-central Shreveport late on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, has been made public by the office of the Caddo Parish Coroner. The child was discovered on the highway. The child was discovered walking along a road in the west-central part of Shreveport. The event started early on Wednesday morning and continued throughout the day till it ended in the evening.

At approximately 6:45 in the evening, the body of 18-year-old Jason Smith, who lived in the 4600 block of Monkhouse Drive, was found with a gunshot wound to the head at the junction of Sunnybrook Street and West Canal Boulevard. Smith’s home was located in the 4600 block of Monkhouse Drive. Smith was found to have a head wound as a result of the gunshot.

On November 10, 2023, however, he was unable to recuperate from the effects of his wounds because they were too severe, and he passed away as a result. After the event, he was sent to the Ochsner LSU Health Hospital for treatment.

At this point in time, the investigation into the homicide that was carried out by the Shreveport Police Department has not yet been successfully brought to a successful end. Since the beginning of 2023, the killing of Smith is the 67th person to take place within the boundaries of the city of Shreveport proper, and it is the 72nd killing of any kind to take place anywhere in Caddo Parish. It was decided that the deceased person’s body needed to be cut open so that a pathologist could examine it.
