Jane Loftus Obituary, CWU President Has Passed Away Unexpectedly

Jane Loftus Obituary, Death – We are all finding it very challenging to come to terms with the devastating news that CWU President Jane Loftus passed away earlier today after an unforeseen illness. The news came as a complete shock to all of us. Jane was a longtime trade unionist who campaigned against all sorts of injustice, inequality, and discrimination with a zeal that very few people in the UK Trade Union and Labour movement could ever hope to match.

Jane’s dedication to the labor movement was unparalleled. She fought against all forms of injustice, unfairness, and discrimination during her whole life, and she will be remembered forever as a lifelong trade unionist who did so. The passion with which she fought against these issues will be remembered in people’s thoughts about her long after she is gone.

Because of the one-of-a-kind character of the events, we have come to the conclusion that the following week will be the best time for our Branches and Reps to get together in order to convey to Jane our deepest regrets and pay our respects.

At the same time, we will be making further preparations to acknowledge the significant contribution that Jane made to the members of the CWU, the union, and the broader movement in general. During this difficult time, we want Chris, Joanne, and the rest of the family to know that the rest of the family and we are thinking about them and offering our deepest condolences to all of them. Jane, I am going to miss you.
