Harold Schmidt Obituary, Death – Our hearts are heavy as we extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Harold Schmidt, a cherished member of our community. Harold’s passing, on October 27th, 2023, marks the end of a courageous battle with cancer that he had fought since September 2022. He peacefully departed from this world surrounded by loved ones, leaving a profound void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Many of us had the pleasure of knowing Harold and his wife, Carolyn, for years. Their kindness and generosity were a hallmark of their character, and they displayed these qualities in a most memorable way by bringing their team of Halflingers and wagon to assist with Cody and Eileen’s wedding. It was a heartwarming gesture that will forever be etched in our memories.
Visitation in Harold’s honor will take place at Bibb Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green, MO, from 4-7 pm on Thursday, November 2nd. On Friday, November 3rd, at 10 am, we will gather for a grave-side service at Fairview Cemetery in Frankford, MO.
Carolyn Wisecarver, Harold’s beloved wife, expressed her deep appreciation for the outpouring of support from friends and the community during Harold’s illness. Your messages, attendance, and generous contributions were a source of comfort and strength for Harold, and he frequently mentioned how humbled he was to realize how many people cared for him.
As we come together to celebrate Harold’s life and pay our respects, let us remember him not only for his resilience but also for the love and kindness he shared with us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time, and we will forever hold the memory of Harold Schmidt close to our hearts.
