Eleanor Bristol Obituary, Death – We are writing to share the news of the demise of Eleanor Christeen Bristol, who was 60 years old and lived in Amherst, Nova Scotia. Eleanor passed away in a calm and peaceful manner on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Center. She was surrounded by her devoted family members. She was the daughter of Sophie May of Amherst, Nova Scotia, and the late Ray Hobbs, and she was born in Shelburne, Nova Scotia.
Eleanor was a selfless person who put the requirements of others before her own. She was also a diligent worker. She put her family ahead of everything else in her life and treasured the time she had to spend with her grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her husband Michael, of Amherst, daughter Naomi Gavin, of Enfield, Nova Scotia; granddaughters Laura Estabrooks and Bentley Davis; and siblings Kevin (Lori), of New Glasgow, and Dawn (Shane) Boudreau. In addition, she is survived by her mother Sophie, who resides in Amherst. In addition to her biological father, both of her in-laws, Jack and Catherine Bristol, passed away before she did.
The Jones Family Funeral Centre is in charge of the arrangements and may be reached at 902-667-8777. The funeral home is located at 70 Church Street in Amherst, Nova Scotia. The cremation process has been completed. In accordance with Eleanor’s instruction, there will be no service. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to any other charity of your choosing for those who are interested in doing so.
