Clayton McCue Obituary, Death – Clayton McCue was a promising and bright student at Millard West High School in Bellevue, Nebraska, and his untimely death has left everyone here with a heavy heart. A senseless act of violence took Clayton’s life when he was only 16 years old. Wednesday night was the night of tragedy at 182nd and Q streets in Southwest Omaha. According to court documents, 15-year-old Christopher DeLong Jr. is suspected in the stabbing death of Clayton, a much-loved son.
The fight tragically erupted in the parking lot of Living Faith United Methodist Church after beginning at the home of Clayton’s girlfriend. Family members say they found Clayton in critical condition with multiple injuries to his face, including two black eyes and injuries to his cheek and forehead. Clayton’s loved ones are heartbroken because he remains on life support without any signs of brain function despite doctors’ best efforts.
Clayton was a calm and generous person who found solace in working out at the gym. He had great prospects. The community is in mourning because of the vicious attack he suffered, which included jumping, kicking, and a potentially fatal stabbing. In the wake of this tragedy, the family is grappling with the uncertainty of Clayton’s future, pending a family meeting to determine the next steps. The family and friends of Clayton would greatly benefit from the community’s united front at this, their hour of greatest need.
Meanwhile, the alleged perpetrator, Christopher DeLong Jr., is currently held on first-degree felony assault and use of a weapon charges at the Douglas County Youth Center.
