Christopher Laughman Obituary, Death- Christopher M. Laughman was a dearly loved husband, father, son, and brother, and his sudden passing has left his family reeling with grief. On November 4, 2023, Christopher, a 38-year-old resident of North Codorus Township, passed away, leaving behind a hole in the world that will never be filled. He had a gentle and generous heart, and those who knew him loved him dearly. Christopher Laughman’s parents, the late Dale E. and Irene R. (Myers), gave birth to him on December 29, 1984, in Hanover.
He completed his education at Spring Grove Area High School in 2003 and is now a highly accomplished electrician for BAE Systems in York. Christopher’s hard work ethic and perseverance shone through in his commitment to his job. Christopher’s passion outside of work was woodworking, and he was quite accomplished in this field. He poured his heart into each work, leaving behind concrete evidence of his talent and inventiveness. Bethany M. (Poncavage) Specht-Laughman, the love of Christopher’s life, accompanied him on this perilous adventure.
They were married for nine blissful years, during which time they became close and formed a strong foundation upon which to build a life together. Christopher’s children, Xavier Specht, Aiden Laughman, and Cora Laughman, will always remember the love and devotion he showed them. His devotion to them was unending, and he will live on in them. Dawn Mitzel (and her spouse Barry) and Bryan Laughman (and his wife Cari) are his surviving siblings. In addition, Christopher is survived by his beloved nephews Zachary, Aaron, and Matthew.
On Monday, November 13, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, friends and family of Christopher can pay their respects at the Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., located at 175 N. Main St. in Spring Grove, Pennsylvania 17362. Together, we will celebrate Christopher’s life and reflect on the positive impact he had on each of us. Interment will be held discreetly by the family, giving them with the space and time they need to say their final goodbyes in peace.
The Laughman family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be donated to the Laughman Family to assist pay for Christopher’s funeral. Christopher brought love and unity into the lives of those who were lucky enough to know him, and this act of support will serve as a reassuring reminder of that. Christopher M. Laughman will be remembered fondly by his loved ones always. His loved ones will remember him for his generosity, skill, and, above all, his unconditional devotion to them. We pray for his eternal rest and for the strength to carry on the work he started.
