Charlotte Newbry Obituary, Death – Charlotte Ivetta Newbry (Bost), who was 80 years old and a resident of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on November 16, 2023, at her residence with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Harold W. and Freda C. (Starke) Bost and was born on August 30, 1943 in the city of Dayton in the state of Ohio. Charlotte was known to be very generous with both her time and the money that was given to her. She was a very charitable person.
She had a deep affection for her family and always looked forward to the occasions when she could visit with them and spend time with her grandchildren in particular. In her function as a home health aide, Charlotte was able to spend time providing care for three very unique people, which she found immensely fulfilling. Charlotte leaves behind her beloved husband of over 62 years, Gary Newbry, whom she wed on June 17, 1961.
The couple had been married for a total of over 62 years. Also left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Mike, Jeff (Patty), and Mark Newbry all of Wilmington; grandchildren, Ashley Wilt, Trudy (Todd) Barnett, Amber (Larry) Newbry, Jennifer (Nick) Newbry, Travis (Ashley) Newbry, Dakota Newbry, Branson (Jaiden) Newbry and Anthony (Emily) Newbry, all of Wilmington; numerous great-grandchildren with two new arrivals expected; and brother, Dale Bost of Cincinnati. On Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at three o’clock in the afternoon, funeral services will be performed at the Brown Funeral Home in Wilmington.
At the funeral home, visitation will begin at one in the afternoon and continue until the start of the service at three in the afternoon. Cremation will be followed by private interment at the family’s earliest convenience.
