Brian McConaghy Obituary, Death – On November 18th, 2023, Brian McConaghy peacefully passed away at his home on 111 Moycraig Road, Bushmills. Surrounded by the warmth of his family, Brian left behind a legacy of love, family values, and cherished memories that will forever linger in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Brian was the dearly loved husband of the late Elizabeth, creating a partnership that stood the test of time and exemplified the true meaning of companionship. A much-loved father of Colin and Ian, Brian played an integral role in shaping the lives of his children, imparting wisdom, love, and a strong sense of family bonds. His influence extended beyond his immediate family, as he became a beloved father-in-law to Myrtle and Hilary.
The circle of love Brian created expanded even further as he embraced the role of a devoted grandfather to Jayne, Ross, Matthew, David, Lois, and Andrew. His impact reached through generations, as he became a dear great-grandfather, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to be felt for years to come.Brian’s familial love extended to his siblings, as he shared a special bond with brothers David and Andrew. Together, they navigated the journey of life, supporting and caring for one another. The memory of their sister, the late Eileen, added a poignant touch to the family narrative, and Brian’s passing marks a reunion with her in the afterlife.
A dear brother-in-law and uncle, Brian was not only a beacon of support within his immediate family but also in the extended family network. His caring nature and genuine kindness touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of calling him family. The community will come together to celebrate Brian’s life at the Funeral service in Toberkeigh Presbyterian Church on Monday at 1 pm. This will be a time to reflect on the impact of a life well-lived, the memories shared, and the love that Brian spread throughout his journey. Following the service, a burial will take place in the adjoining graveyard, providing a final resting place for Brian near the place he called home.
